If you can walk, you can begin training. All programs are oriented specifically to the individual; so physical condition is taken into consideration when programs are prescribed.
The program can be a very fun way for you to get in better shape, or to augment your existing fitness program, as well as developing unique and valuable life skills. Evaluate for yourself with our 1-hour PROACT course.
This is a course in personal security, and to that degree can be classified as a “martial” program, however, that's the extent of any similarity. Fundamentally, INPAX® has turned art into science.
There are no uniforms, no bowing, no “katas,” and no foreign languages, just pure skill building in the most practical and useful personal security strategies and techniques available.
INPAX® is designed with strategies and techniques specifically devised to handle real-life situations. The program teaches you all the skills, and simply put is the most practical approach to personal security training.
Participants choose from an array of course subjects and durations, from short 1-hour or 2-hour seminars to customized, ongoing programs.
We recommend everyone begin with the 1-hour PROACT course, regardless of previous experience. Representing the first of all INPAX® training courses, PROACT is a 1-hour, stand-alone program engineered to teach participants the fundamental skills necessary to recognize, avoid, dissuade, or neutralize an aggressor. From this one course alone, you will develop realistic, practical and immediately usable physical skills that are easily retained for life.
The course also serves as an evaluation; both for you to experience the training firsthand, and for INPAX® staff to evaluate and prescribe the most appropriate training program for you.
You will have a firm understanding of what INPAX® is all about by the end of this course, and I'm sure you will be impressed both with the scope of the training, and by how much you can learn in such a short period of time.
The type of program, whether held privately or in a group setting, coupled with your training frequency, will determine the overall cost. There are several programs to choose from.
The PROACT class provides you an opportunity to see the training firsthand, and for the INPAX® staff to help customize the best possible program for you, both for learning and for the pocketbook.

INPAX® clients represent a broad spectrum of individuals and groups, from executives, CEOs and business owners, to professional athletes and law enforcement professionals, just to mention a few. Most of our clients are adults, but we also have programs specifically engineered to meet the needs of younger people as well.
Obviously, most people who seek out our training are interested in improving their personal security, and specifically in developing the highly specialized skills we teach. However, for many the desire simply to better themselves is more of a driving factor. INPAX® training can be a dynamic method of achieving personal improvement in a wide array of areas. Increased confidence, peace of mind, physical acuity and health, sense of balance and stress relief are just a few of the benefits to be had from our courses.
Without a doubt, this training could be one of the most beneficial experiences of a young person's growth. The skills that are developed are profound and last a lifetime.
The physical skills alone will help prepare youths for the realities faced in today's schools and the world. Personal development in confidence, self-esteem, and judgment gained through training at INPAX® cannot be easily quantified. The ability for a young person to grow and to have the confidence to simply “be themselves,” while attaining the inner strength to withstand the pressures typical in today's society is invaluable.
Most parents we've worked with want their children to grow and have the same fortitude and character they so often hard-won through life experience, without having to go through the trauma associated with acquiring such wisdom. INPAX® training can instill many of these virtues and provide a strong advantage to your children over their peers.
Where appropriate, we also do father/son and mother/daughter training. These programs offer a fun way for parents to spend time with their son/daughter, while learning valuable life skills.
This is a difficult question because it greatly depends on the individual. Different people have different learning curves, as well as different definitions of “competence.”
From our standpoint, it does not take much training time to give participants a significant advantage over most people on the street, and you will begin to feel more confident about your level of personal security immediately following a PROACT class.
However, to properly answer this question, we would need to evaluate the individual through a PROACT class. Once we know where we are and where we need to go, it's easier to forecast a training program to reach your goal. Without a doubt, though, it takes far less time than one might think.
Fundamentally, it takes hours, not years.
Most participants train 1 to 2 hours per week, although given the need, accelerated training is available. As all training is customized, the needs of the client will dictate the training pace.
Due to the nature of the training, and the scientific method used to teach, retention of techniques, tactics, principals and strategies are very high. Frequently, you do not even need to practice or review most topics to retain an appropriate level of readiness. Techniques are trained into muscle memory, and reactions are taught to become instinctive. Absent these fundamental developments, the training would be useless in the long run. Strategies and decision-making skills are developed throughout the training and become a natural part of you. The abilities to relax under pressure, and think strategically in crisis situations are skills used to some degree almost daily, and are personal enhancements that remain for a lifetime.
We also often suggest not practicing outside of our training due to the lack of supervision, proper equipment, and the possibility of creating improper techniques or bad habits that may hinder your training progress.
Absolutely. We frequently conduct client appreciation events, team-building events, workplace seminars and custom groups. We also offer an exclusive lunch and learn seminar designed to provide an overview of personal security issues and solutions that can be interactive or without direct participation. Simply call INPAX® to discuss the details of your event, and let us customize a program to suit your group.
Competitive applications are not our primary focus. However, for participants who’ve progressed beyond Tier 2, who have an interest, there are competitive application courses available, which will teach you how to convert the skills developed through Tier 1 & 2 to sparring or competition.
For those interested, these courses can be a fun and safe way to apply some of the skills you've learned.
You will have to qualify for participation in these programs.
